Who do you work with?
All neurotypes
Primary (Years 1–6): Maths & English, plus other subjects/interests if needed
Older children: KS2 revision, English up to Year 8
SEND learners: Functional Skills English & Maths up to Level 1
Families: building understanding & restoring connections
Schools: teacher/TA mentoring, training & consultancy
Do you offer mentoring?
Yes — I support children/young people with anxiety, friendships, school challenges, social confidence, and managing emotions.
Do you teach 1:1 or groups?
Both. One-to-one lessons are tailored to each child; small groups run when there’s enough interest, with a focus on collaboration and communication.
Online or face-to-face?
Both. Online via Teams (simple to use). Face-to-face may be possible depending on location.
When are you available?
Mon–Thurs (before and after school). Contact me for current slots.
Do you offer a free trial?
No free lessons, but we can chat about your child’s needs before booking. The first session is booked individually with no obligation to continue.
How does payment work?
First session: pay in advance
Ongoing: monthly invoice upfront
Payment by bank transfer only
Do you set homework?
Not usually — research shows little impact at primary age. I may suggest light practice/prep tasks.
Do you tutor for the 11+?
No. My focus is on strong foundations, confidence, and curiosity.
What are your qualifications?
B.Ed (Hons) in Primary Studies
28 years in education (18+ leading English)
Senior management & project leadership experience
Extensive SEND knowledge (dyslexia, autism, ADHD, SEMH)
Postgraduate Diploma in Pastoral Leadership
Child counselling training (Place2Be)
Proven mentoring outcomes for children & adults
Expertise in Functional Skills English & Maths (up to Level 1)
